Why Remote Internship by TCS iON is better than traditional Internships offered by companies?

Finding a good quality Internship is always a challenge for students. Even if you get an Internship, getting an interesting project to work on is another challenge. In addition to that traveling to another city or within the same city incur traveling, stay, and food costs to students. All these factors become a barrier for students in getting a good internship. TCS iON Remote Internship gives freedom to students to complete their internship from home and also work on industry-level projects in the domain of student's choice.

Talent Battle has partnered with TCS iON to provide Remote Internships to students in the latest technology domains. The Internships are provided to undergraduate and postgraduate students from Engineering, BCA, MCA, B.Sc., M.Sc, MBA, and other non-engineering backgrounds as well. Students have an option to choose Internship duration from 10 days, 30 days, or 45 days. The credits given to students for the completion of these internships are aligned with AICTE and UGC. These internships can be taken up by students as a part of their academic internship.

Internship Duration

Students have got 3 options for Internship duration. They can opt for 10 days, 30 days, or 45 days Internship Program. The available domains and Projects are different for each internship duration. A list of projects can be found below.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How much time do I have to spend on this project?

It depends on which project you select - 45 hours for RIO-45, 125 hours for RIO-125 and 210 hours for RIO-210.

2. Is this a paid Internship?

Yes, this is a paid internship. You will have to pay the required amount to get access to the project

3. Can an institution purchase and subscribe to the product for its students?

Yes. The institution has to purchase bulk licenses of the product and share the activation codes with its students. The students have to fill up all the necessary details and click on "Activate Now" to enter the activation code shared. The product is then subscribed to the students.

4. Do I get a certificate for completing the course and is it "Recognised"?

Yes, you will get a verified certificate from TCS iON provided you complete all the mandatory requirements as indicated in the project.

5. What are the learning methods implemented in this project?

The project comes with self-learning references, webinars, industry project(s), digital discussion room, tests and viva.

6. Can I get a job after completing this project?

Completion of this project is not sufficient to get a job. However, the certificate obtained after the course completion will be a valuable addition to your competencies.

7. Are there any tests? If yes, are the tests of subjective or objective type?

  • Yes, there are two tests one at the beginning and one at the end of the internship project.
  • The first is a General Aptitude test to check your knowledge before the project starts. You must clear this test before proceeding with the internship.
  • The second is a test to check the knowledge you gained from the internship topic once the project ends.
  • Both the tests are of objective type.

8. How will the viva be conducted?

  • The viva will be conducted in collaboration with your chosen academic mentor (to be identified by you from your educational institution).
  • The academic mentors are provided with access to web pages from where they can download/view the work of all students mentored by them.
  • The project reports and daily activity reports can be downloaded, while the project test results and the comments/ratings provided by the industry mentor on the project report can only be viewed on the webpage.
  • Basis the details of your work in the internship, the academic mentor has to complete the viva voce. The mode of conducting the viva depends on your mentor and you.
  • You are required to submit the feedback from the academic mentor as Viva Report to complete the internship.
  • In case you have not chosen any academic mentor and have done the project only to gain some exposure, you are required to submit a self-declaration statement that you have not chosen any academic mentor, and upload it in the Viva Report node. Along with self-declaration, you are also expected to include the top 5 learnings from the project/internship in the same document.

9. Will there be an interview to get a project?

There is no interview process for project selection, but if any corporate decides to have an interview, they will reach out to you on a case-to-case basis.

10. Will I get a chance to pursue a project if I do not clear the interview?

A few projects have an interview as a prerequisite. If you select such a project and do not clear the interview, you will not be able to pursue the project. However, you can go ahead and choose another project from the available list.

11. Will there be a guide to help me?

Yes, there will be Industry Mentors to guide you through your internship.

12. Will I get a refund if I decide to discontinue the internship?

No, you will not get a refund. You are requested to go through the list of all projects carefully and choose the project of your choice at the time of purchasing or sharing the preferred project with your institution.

13. Can I change the project after I have selected a project and paid?

No, you will not be able to change the project. You will have to purchase or get the activation code from your institution for the new project. You are requested to go through the list of all projects carefully and choose the project of your choice at the time of purchasing the same.

14. Will I get any lab environment to do my project work?

You will be provided with an indicative list of the software environment required to do the project. Students are expected to have their own desktop/laptop with the required software set up to do the project. We have curated the projects to ensure that students can make use of free/student licenses to do projects.

15. How will I get to interact with Industry Mentors?

You will be able to post your questions and get clarity in the Digital Discussion Rooms which are moderated by Industry Mentors. Your peers will also be members of the discussion room where you can discuss and share knowledge.

16. How will the project work get evaluated?

  • You are expected to submit your daily activity report which will be verified by the Industry Mentor.
  • On completing the project, the project report you submit will also be verified by the Industry Mentor for his feedback.
  • The Industry Mentor evaluates the project report based on certain parameters, each parameter being rated on a scale of 1 to 5 (5 being the best).
  • The academic mentors (details of whom are provided by you at the time of registration for TCS iON Remote Internship) are provided with access to web pages from where they can download the project reports and daily activity reports, and view the project test results and comments/ratings provided by the Industry Mentor on the project report.
  • Basis the details of your work in the internship, the academic mentor has to complete the viva voce. The mode of conducting the viva depends on your mentor and you.
  • You are required to submit the feedback from your academic mentor as Viva Report to complete your internship.
