Amdocs conducts the following rounds to select freshers as Software Development Engineer in their organization with a pay scale of 4.5 LPA.

There are 5 sections in Amdocs Online Test Paper –

  • Quantitative Aptitude (16 Questions, 25 minutes) – The detailed syllabus for this section includes topics as LCM & HCF, Divisibility, Numbers, decimal fractions and power, Profit and Loss, Simple and Compound Interest, Time, Speed and Distance, Inverse, Logarithms, Permutation and Combinations, Probability.
  • Logical Reasoning (14 Questions, 20 minutes) – The section includes Coding deductive logic, Blood Relation, Directional Sense, Objective Reasoning, Selection decision tables, Analogy and Classification pattern recognition, Coding pattern and Number series pattern recognition, Logical word sequence, Data sufficiency.
  • Verbal English (18 Questions, 20 minutes) – This section will focus on topics such as Synonyms, Antonyms, Contextual Vocabulary, Error Identification, Sentence Improvement & Construction, Subject-Verb Agreement, Tenses & Articles, Preposition & Conjunctions, Speech & Voices, Questions on Inferential and Literal Comprehension, Questions on Contextual Vocabulary, Questions on Comprehension ordering.
  • Computer Programming MCQ (SQL+DBMS+ Unix + C + DS - 30 Questions, 30 minutes) – It will test your skills based on Data Types, Iteration, Recursion, Decision, Procedure, functions and scope, Arrays, Linked Lists, Trees, Graphs, Stacks, Queues, Hash Tables, Heaps, Searching and Sorting, OOPs – Polymorphism, Abstraction, Encapsulation, Complexity Theory.
  • Coding Test (2 Questions, 20 minutes)


Upon selection in the Online Assessment, candidates will be required to go through Technical Interview followed by HR interview.


Technical Interview :

To ace this round you should be good with your concepts. If you are good with the basic concepts, it will easy for you to clear the round. There is no fixed rule or domain from which questions will be asked so you need to be versed with basics well. To maximize your chances you should be prepared with Data structures and Algorithms, DBMS, Operating System, Networking, OOPs concepts and a programming language of your choice. Students from branches other than CS should prepare basic concepts of their branch.  Students will be expected to write codes in the interview. They also ask questions from resume.


HR Interview :

This is the final round of the recruitment process. HR will check your communication skills, confidence and body language. There will be basic HR questions like Tell me about yourself ?, Why do you want to join the company? etc. You might be asked some puzzles and technical questions depending on your feedback and HR. You can prepare for puzzles from our Puzzles section. The key for this round is being confident about yourself.
