  • Any individual with Graduates / Post Graduates, BE, B.Tech, MBA, MCA, ME, M.Tech is eligible to apply.
  • The individual must have minimum of 60% in both 10th and 12th grade, while must have a score greater than 65%  in B.Tech.
  • Should not have any backlogs at the time of applying for Cognizant Off Campus Drive.

The positions for which Cognizant will be hiring this year are –

  • Analyst Trainee – Package 2.53LPA
  • Programming Trainee – Package 3.38LPA
  • Specialist Programming Trainee – Package 6.5LPA (Drive will be conducted only for few reputed campuses.)

 

The selection process for Analyst Trainee & Programming Trainee (Based on AMCAT) is the same whereas for Specialist Programming Trainee (Based on different syllabus than AMCAT) the process is somewhat different. The below will give you a brief about both the processes :

 

  • Selection Process For Analyst & Programming Trainee (2.53 & 3.38 LPA)

The selection process for these positions will have 3 rounds :

  1. Test based on AMCAT

This test conducted will be based on the following sections –

  1. Quantitative Aptitude (16 Questions, 16 Minutes)
  2. Logical Reasoning (24 Questions, 35 Minutes)
  3. Verbal Ability (22 Questions, 25 Minutes)
  4. Automata Fix (7 Questions, 20 Minutes) –

This round is completely based on one’s coding & debugging skills. The individual must either correct the given syntax of the code without changing the logic for the program or fix the errors in the given code or complete the given code using the previously defined functions in the code.

NOTE – At times Cognizant excludes this round in the recruitment process but there is no guarantee. So you need to be prepared for the coding round to crack the CTS selection process.

 

  1. Technical Interview

The technical interview round will take up to 20 minutes long. The interviewer may ask you questions based on your resume as well. For Non-IT students the interviewer may ask questions based on your favorite subjects & a few basic programming questions based on your preferred coding language as C, C++, etc. For IT students the interviewer may come up with software engineering basics as Waterfall model, DBMS, DSA, OOPS Concept, etc. Also there may be questions related to your project, so prepare well with keys & holes regarding your project.

 

  1. HR Interview

The HR Interview round will explore personal grounds of any individual asking questions about your strengths, weaknesses, long term plans/vision, flexible shift/location for work, family background & more.

 

 

  • Selection Process For Specialist Programming Trainee (6.5 LPA)

This role is majorly offered by CTS into reputed campus only. Unlike the other roles it has 4 rounds for the recruitment process. The below will give you a brief about the same.

 

  1. Hacker Rank pre-screen round

This is the optional pre-screening round conducted by CTS if the number of applicants more than 500. In this test, 2-3 coding questions each with 30 minutes of varying difficulty levels (easy, medium, and difficult) are given.
