Mostly Mphasis hires freshers for the role of Associate Software Engineers.

For the initial period of 6 months, the candidate exhibits the role of Trainee Software Engineer, whereas, for the post 6 months, the candidate exhibits the role of Associate Software Engineer. Mphasis offering a CTC of Rs.21,000 (Including INR 1.8 Lakhs per annum and Rs.6000 monthly allowance) & a Training Agreement of 24 months (Rs.100,000 to be paid in case of decisions to before the training period).


The first round in Mphasis Recruitment Process is the Online Test which uses AMCAT pattern for the same. The detailed syllabus for the test is given as below :

  • Quantitative Aptitude - Divisibility, Number System, HCF and LCM, Factors, Numbers, decimal fractions and power, Profit and Loss, Simple and Compound Interest, Time, Speed and Distance & Time and Work, Inverse, Logarithms, Permutation and Combinations, Probability.
  • Verbal Ability – Synonyms, Antonyms, Contextual Vocabulary, Error Identification, Sentence Improvement and Construction, Reading Comprehension.
  • Logical Reasoning - Coding deductive logic, Data Sufficiency, Directional Sense, Logical Word Sequence, Objective Reasoning, Selection decision tables, Puzzles, Coding pattern and Number series pattern recognition, Analogy and Classification pattern recognition, Logical word sequence, Data sufficiency.
  • Computer Programming - Data Types, Iteration, Recursion, Decision, Procedure, functions, and scope, Arrays, Linked Lists, Trees, Graphs, Stacks, Queues, Hash Tables, Heaps, Searching and Sorting, OOPs Polymorphism, Abstraction, Encapsulation, Complexity Theory, Searching and Sorting.


The Coding Round usually consists of 2 programming questions. The candidate has the flexibility to code the program using C or C++ as per convenience.


Upon selection in the Online Assessment, candidates will be required to go through Panel Interview. The candidate here will be tested with technical as well as personal skills.
