Accenture Recruitment Journey: Sujata's Experience

Introduction

My name is Sujata, an engineering graduate who recently secured a position as an Associate Software Engineer with a package of 4.5 LPA at Accenture. Here's a detailed account of my preparation, the application process, and the various interview stages.

Preparation and Application

To prepare for Accenture, I joined the Talent Battle Masterclass and diligently attended the sessions. Approximately 300 students from my college participated, and around 35 were selected. The masterclass was instrumental in my preparation, providing the necessary guidance and practice.

Roles Offered by Accenture

Accenture offers multiple roles for fresh graduates. The two prominent roles I encountered are:

  1. ASE (Associate Software Engineer) - 4.5 LPA
  2. SE (Software Engineer) - 6.5 LPA

Interview Rounds After Clearing Online Test

After clearing the online test, I went through the following interview rounds:

  1. Round 1 – Online Assessment
  2. Round 2 – Coding Round
  3. Round 3 – Communication Round
  4. Round 4 – Technical & HR Interview

Online Assessment

The online assessment comprised various sections:

  • English Ability
  • Abstract Reasoning
  • Critical Reasoning & Problem Solving
  • Common Application and MS Office
  • Pseudo Code
  • Network Security and Cloud

There were 90 questions to be completed in 90 minutes, with no negative marking. The topics included sentence completion, synonyms/antonyms, odd man series, and binary number questions.

Coding Round

The coding round consisted of two questions to be completed in 30 minutes:

  1. Coding Question 1 - Easy to Moderate Level, covering topics like prime numbers, addition and subtraction using data structures, and trees & graphs.
  2. Coding Question 2 - Moderate to Difficult Level. Although I could run the code, the test cases did not pass.

Clearing one coding question generally qualifies you for the ASE role, while clearing both increases your chances for the SE role.

Communication Round

The communication round included reading, listening, and repeating content. It was a system-based round and might not necessarily be an elimination round.

Technical & HR Interview

In the combined Technical and HR interview, I faced the following questions:

HR Questions:

  • Tell me about yourself.
  • Hobbies, strengths, and weaknesses with examples.

Technical Questions:

  • Project-based questions: Project explanation, role in the project, and challenges faced.
  • Favorite and least favorite subjects.
  • Questions related to AI and ML.
  • Definition of innovation and future innovation plans.

It usually takes 3-4 weeks to announce the results.

Advice to Juniors

My advice to juniors is to solve the previous 2-3 years' question papers. I would like to express my gratitude to the Talent Battle Team, especially Ajinkya Sir, Amit Sir, and Rohit Sir, for their unwavering support and motivation. I highly recommend juniors join the Talent Battle Training for a structured and effective preparation.

Good luck to all the aspiring candidates! Your hard work and dedication will surely pay off.
