I'm Yash, Computer Science Graduate, selected at Amdocs in a Testing Profile.

Q.  What was the opportunity type - on-campus/off-campus drive?

It was an off-campus pool drive.

Q. How many interview rounds are conducted by Amdocs?

• Online Assessment Test
• Technical Interview
• HR Interview

 Q. Can you provide details about the nature of the Online Assessment?

It consists of the following sections.

• Quantitative Section
• Reasoning
• Verbal  
• Technical Questions
• Coding Questions

Q. What kinds of questions were asked in Online Assessment?

The aptitude part was like any other company questions of medium difficulty. What is important is the Technical sections consisting of MCQs and Programming. There may be 1 / 2 programming questions depending on the profile offered. The questions were based on SQL-related Linux commands, and 1 programming question. 

Q. Duration of the online Assessment?

The duration of the test is 120 mins for the Online Assessment. 

Q. How long does it take to announce the online test results?

It takes about 2-3 days to announce the result.

Q. How difficult was the online Test?

 It was of medium difficulty.

Q. What was the next round after the online assessment?

Next is a Technical Interview for those who clear the online assessment.

Q. Technical and HR interview questions conducted separately?

Yes, they were conducted separately.

Q. Do you remember the interview questions asked in the Technical interview?

• The interview was conducted by 2-panel members.
• Duration 50-60 mins
• Java: final keyword and static keyword
• What is overriding and overloading
• Type of Set
• OOPS concept
• Asked to write a program to find the second-largest array element
• Scenario-based questions using SQL
• Joining 3 tables using a self and inner join
• Override equals() and hashCode() of the Object class.

Q. Do you remember the interview questions asked in the HR interview?

• Duration 20 – 30  mins
• Introduction
• Family background
• Failures in your life, how did you overcome them?
• Who were your favorite professors? Why?
• Mention 1 situation in which you were successful.
• Why should you be hired?
• What are your hobbies?
• What are your goals in your career?
• Summarize your college life in 2 minutes etc...

Q. How long does it take to announce the final results?

It will be announced within 10 -12 days.

Q. How did you start your Preparation?

I joined the Talent Battle course which helped me to prepare for the placement preparation.

Q. Any suggestions for the Aspirants?

• Work on the Aptitude with time bound approach?
• Work on the Technical part more – Java programming
• Work on SQL, OOPs and Linux, etc
