Q. Can you tell me something about yourself, your role, and the package details?

I'm Gurkanwal, selected at Wipro with a package of 6.5 LPA in the Elite Profile under the velocityVelocity Program.  

Q.  What was the opportunity type - on-campus/off-campus drive?

It was an off-campus drive.

Q.  How did you get to know about this opportunity?

I got to know this through Talent Battle as I had joined Talent Battle Masterclass.

Q. How many interview rounds are conducted at Wipro?

• Online Assessment Test
• Technical & HR Interview

Q. Can you provide details about the nature of the Online AMCAT Assessment?

It consists of 3 sections.

• Aptitude Section - Logical, Quantitative, and Verbal ability - 48 mins
• Communication Test – Essay Writing exercise - 20 mins
• Programming Section - 2 Coding problems - 60 mins

Note - This can be solved by choosing anyone programming language - C/C++/Java/Python

Q. How difficult/easy was the Coding Round? 

The Coding Section consisted of 2 questions. In the section min 50% of test cases should be passed to qualify for the next round.

Q.  How did you join the Velocity Program?

I was initially selected for Elite Profile only. However, as I was the top performer in the Online Assessment and hence I was considered for the Velocity Program.

Q.  What is a Velocity Program?

Velocity Program was a newly launched program by Wipro for those who are the top performers in the Online Assessment. They will be trained for about 3 months which consists of a capstone project along with the certification. After this another online assessment was conducted. Those who clear the assessment will be upgraded to Project Engineer Turbo with the revised package of 6.5 LPA

Q.  Is it mandatory to join the Velocity Program?

It is an optional thing and the Elite profile still holds good.

Q.  To join the Velocity Program, are there any additional requirements/costs involved?

There is no additional cost involved and the Elite profile still holds good. 

Q. Were you able to solve the entire question in a given time?

I could not solve all the questions.

Q. Did you solve both coding questions?

Yes. I solved both coding questions

Q. Can you recall the interview questions of the technical interview?

• Mention the differences between C++ and Java?
• Mention Differentiate between compiler and interpreter.
• What are array and linked lists? Explain the difference between them.
• Tell me something about C++/Java.
• What is Object-Oriented Programming?
• Why do we need OOPs?
• Explain polymorphism
• What exactly is NLP?
• What is normalization?
• Write a program to swap two numbers without using the third variable.
• To print the first non-repeated character from a string, can you write the program
• Name some different OS you are aware
• Can you name of the compiler used in Java?
• Tell me about threading in Java.
• Write the code for printing n Fibonacci numbers?
• Explain the prime number code.
• How is a binary search tree implemented?
• How do you design a vending machine?

Q. What is the duration of the technical interview?

It was around 30 -35 mins.

Q. How did you start your Preparation?

I joined the Talent Battle course which helped me to prepare well for the placement preparation.

Q. How long will it take to complete the entire process of recruitment and get the result?

It will be announced within a week after the final interview.
