Q. Can you tell me something about yourself, your role, and the package details?

I'm Tanmoy, selected at Persistent with a package of 4.75 LPA. 

Q. How many interview rounds are conducted at HP?

  • Round 1 – Online Assessment Test
  • Round 2 –Technical Interview
  • Round 3 - HR Assessment

Q. What are the sections in Online Assessment?

In the Aptitude test, the questions are based on Quantitative, verbal abilities, and technical questions. The duration was 45 mins and it was a MCQ type assessment.

Some of the topics from the questions asked are:

  • Quants – maths-related questions
  • Basic English questions
  • Pattern Matching, pictures, etc in the reasoning

Q. How difficult/easy was the Coding Round?

The Coding Section consisted of 2 questions. In the section min 50% of test cases should be passed to qualify for the next round. One coding question was easy and the other one was of medium level difficulty.

Q. Were you able to solve the entire question in a given time?

I could not solve all the aptitude questions and was able to solve 80% of the questions.

Q. Did you solve both coding questions?

Yes. I solved both coding questions

Q. When did you get the result of the online assessment?

Results were announced after 5-6 days. Those who clear the online assessment become eligible for the Technical interview.



Q. What topics were covered in the technical interview?

The Questions were asked on the following topics

  • OOPs Concept
  • C Structure
  • Coding Syntax etc

I was asked to solve coding questions in the given environment

Q. Do you remember which code was asked to write?

I was asked to write the palindrome code in the programming language of my choice. Need not give any test cases there.

Q. What is the duration of the technical interview?

It was around 30 mins.

Q. Did you answer all the questions of the Technical Interview?

I answered most of the questions but in the coding, I could not answer as the test cases were different. Assessor was okay with it as they were interested to check my approach to solving the problem.

Q. When did you get the result of the Technical assessment?

I was informed within 2 days of the next HR Assessment round.

Q. What was the HR Assessment?

It was a system-based test and there was no HR to conduct the HR interview. I was asked to finish the test in 25 mins or so. There were around 30 questions. It is okay even if we take slightly more time.

Q.  What was the opportunity type - on-campus/off-campus drive?

It was an off-campus drive.

Q. How did you start your Preparation?

I joined the Talent Battle course which helped me to prepare well for the placement preparation.

Q. How long will it take to complete the entire process of recruitment and get the result?

It will be announced within a week after the final interview.

Q. Would you like to give any suggestions for the Aspirants?

  • Focus on programming Aptitude, Coding rounds, and Technical Interviews.
  • Coding try to solve both questions which will increase your selection chance
  • Also, focus on the technical interview part.
  • Usually HR Assessment can be answered easily
  • Resume-based questions will be asked.
