What is syllogism ? 

syllogism is a kind of logical argument that applies deductive reasoning to arrive at a conclusion based on two or more propositions that are asserted or assumed to be true. 


Types of Syllogism

There are three major types of syllogism:

  • Conditional Syllogism: If A is true then B is true (If A then B).
  • Categorical Syllogism: If A is in C then B is in C.
  • Disjunctive Syllogism: If A is true, then B is false (A or B).

Q1) Statements: Some trees are leaves. All leaves are stems. No tree is root. No stem is plant.

Conclusions:
I. Some roots are not stems.
II. No tree is plant.

A)  only 1st follows

B)  only 2nd follows

C) either 1st or 2nd

D)  neither 1st nor 2nd
