About Virtusa Neuralhack

This hackathon is specially designed for students to stimulate skills like problem-solving and creative thinking to crack industrial complexities with their codes. We have successfully executed five seasons of Neuralhack. We are pleased to share that season five received the highest registrations from over a hundred thousand students. We extended about a thousand job offers and internship opportunities to our participants. This year, in an effort toprovide an opportunity for as many students as possible, we are extending this competition to all branches of BE/Btech, ME/Mtech, and MSc/MCA.

The Virtusa Neural Hack is an AI-based hackathon conducted by Virtusa to identify and recruit top talent in the field of AI and machine learning. The hackathon is made to give participants a stage on which to demonstrate their talent and originality in creating cutting-edge AI solutions. The syllabus for the Virtusa Neural Hack is as follows:

  • Introduction to machine learning and artificial intelligence - The syllabus begins with an introduction to the basics of artificial intelligence and machine learning. This section covers the fundamental concepts, terminology, and applications of AI and ML.
  • Data Science and Analytics  -The next section covers the key concepts and tools used in data science and analytics. This includes topics such as data cleaning, data wrangling, data visualization, and statistical analysis.

Virtusa Neuralhack Exam Pattern 2023-2024

The Virtusa Neural Hack is a 24-hour online hackathon that is divided into three stages:

  • Screening Round - The first stage is a screening round that tests the participants' knowledge of AI and machine learning. It is a multiple-choice test that covers the topics mentioned in the syllabus.
  • Hackathon Round -  The second stage is a hackathon round that tests the participant’s ability to develop innovative AI solutions. Participants are given a problem statement and are required to develop a solution using the tools and techniques learned in the syllabus.
  • Presentation Round - The final stage is a presentation round where the participants are required to present their solutions to a panel of judges. The judges evaluate the solutions based on their creativity, innovation, and feasibility.

Virtusa Neuralhack Competition Process:

  1. Round I (Preliminary) - Online coding challenge 
  2. Round II - Enhanced coding contest
  3. Grand finale - Hackathon
  4. Technical Interview
  5. HR Interview

Round I (Preliminary) - Online coding challenge 

This round consists 4 moderate level programming questions 

  • Basic Data structre
  • Array
  • String

Round II - Enhanced coding contest

This round consists 3 moderate to tough level coding questions

  • Advance level Data structure
  • Dynamic Programming
  • Competative Programming

Grand finale - Hackathon

Final round of online assessment will be hackathon

Technical Interview-

Top performers of the competition will get a chance to undergo an internship in Vitusa or Full time position job.

These candidates will get interviewed on technical subjects like Data structure, Programming Fundaementals, OOPs concepts, Networking, Operating systems, DBMS, and many other advacnce technologies.

HR Interview-

HR interview will be a casual interview to check candidate's communication, behavioural skills. Mostly HR people will ask questions related to strengths, weaknesses, Short term , Long term goals, willingness to join at any location throughout India, etc.

Eligibility Criteria Virtusa Neuralhack 2023-2024

The Virtusa Neural Hack is open to students, fresh graduates, and working professionals with a strong interest in AI and machine learning. The eligibility criteria are as follows:

  • Participants must be at least 18 years old.
  • Participants should have a strong understanding of the basics of programming and data structures.
  • Participants should have a basic understanding of AI and machine learning concepts.
  • Candidate with a minimum of 50%  marks in full-time courses in the following branches: BE, ME, MSc, MCA, M.Tech, B.Tech.
  • If you are a student graduating in 2023 – for any of these branches, you are eligible, too.

Selection Process

The selection process for the Virtusa Neural Hack is rigorous and competitive. Participants are shortlisted based on their performance in the screening round, and the top performers are invited to participate in the hackathon round. The final selection is made based on the performance of the participants in the hackathon and presentation rounds.
