How to Apply for TCS NQT Exam?

Tips and Insights for TCS NQT (Based on 2023 Batch Students' Experiences):

Foundation Section Tips:

  • Level of Difficulty: Moderate
  • Time Management was a major issue for most of the students.
  • Many students were not aware that they can switch between the sections for Foundation sections hence wasted time. You should first jump to the section you are strong at and then solve questions from other sections.
  • Don't waste more time on a single question. First, solve all the questions and then if time permits you can visit time-consuming questions
  • Initially, 2 mins are provided to read the instructions, kindly read exam instructions properly
  • The majority of the questions asked in the advanced quant and advanced reasoning section were FUB (Fill up the box) type of questions. There are no options given for such questions and directly you have to enter the answer in the box.
  • The coding section had 2 questions. 1st was of medium level (20/25 mins) are provided and the 2nd one was of difficult level (35/30 mins).
  • Both coding questions have a separate timer.
  • You can select any one language to code between C, C++, Java, Python & Perl.
  • Many students were facing Compiler Issues.
  • One of the biggest issues was that if you write a code and compile it and you find some errors then you cannot edit the code. You need to reset the code and type again. You cannot even copy your previous code and paste it.
  • For the 1st coding question sample input, and output was provided along with 2 open and 5 private test cases. For 2nd coding question, only the problem statement was given
  • All the questions in the exam were based on the topics mentioned by the Talent Battle team in our previous Instagram posts and YouTube videos.
  • Check the Important Topic and Syallbus shared by Talent Battle before your exam preparation.
  • 100% of the questions asked in the exam were based on the concepts and types of questions covered in the TCS NQT Preparation Masterclass by Talent Battle
